The Bureau for General Affairs in accordance to the regulation of the Head of BATAN No. 392/ KA/XI/ 2005 dated 24th November 2005, is a work unit under the Executive Secretary which has the objective in conducting guidance and management of finance, State Owned Goods (BMN), as well as the security system in support of the program of BATAN.
Background
The Bureau for General Affairs is headed by an Echelon II official. The Bureau for General Affairs, in accordance to its function shall achieve its target in the year 2010 until 2014 which is the increase in management of finance and State Owned Goods in the opinion of WTP towards a government administration which shall be good, transparent, accountable, and timely. This would be the main performance indicator in accordance to the objective and means of the Bureau for General Affairs which has been stipulated, therefore the main performance indicator of the Bureau for General Affairs is the increase in finance management and State Owned Goods in the opinion of the WTP towards a good, transparent, accountable and timely administrative governance”.

Mission
Strategic Planning of the Mission of the Bureau for Planning of BATAN (2015-2019):
- Conduct procurement and management of State Owned Goods optimally and administration of State owned Goods which is accountable in support of the financial report with opinion of WTP.
- Conduct guidance and management of the treasury and the accountancy system and financial report which are accountable in support of the financial report with opinion of WTP.
- Conduct guidance and security of facilities and resources in support of activities in nuclear science and technology.
