(Jakarta, 10/05/2020) The National Nuclear Energy Agency included four of its innovations to participate in the 2020 Public Service Innovation Competition (PSIC) organized by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB). Participation in this competition was marked by sending an online proposal file which was witnessed by the Head of BATAN, Anhar Riza Antariksawan via video conference, Saturday (09/05).

PISC as published on the page of the PANRB Ministry is a strategic step to capture public service innovations that have been created by government agencies and State/Regional Owned Enterprises since 2014. The theme of PISC 2020 is "Transfer of strengthening to accelerate public service innovation in the context of support the realization of the goals of sustainable development and an advanced Indonesia."

Before submitting the innovation proposal, Anhar expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in preparing the four innovation programs and entering the competition. "I would like to express my deepest gratitude to friends who have prepared this innovation program. Even though in previous years we had never received an award in this competition, hopefully this year we can do better," said Anhar.

According to Anhar, the most important thing is, BATAN must always strive to create innovations that are beneficial to society. This is in line with BATAN's target to emphasize the use of nuclear technology for the public through various public services.

"Through the four public service innovations that are included in this competition, it is hoped that BATAN will be able to show that we can provide the maximum benefit to society through mastery of nuclear technology. In addition, BATAN is expected to provide solutions to some of the nation's problems," he added.

The four public service innovations are, first, the service for making Samarium-153 EDTMP which is very beneficial for cancer sufferers. This service innovation was created by the Center for Radioisotope and Radiopharmaceutical Technology, named SUNTIK (Samarium for Cancer Palliative Therapy) aimed at improving palliative services for pain control due to metastatic cancer to bone with Samarium-153 EDTMP.

Second, the information system for irradiation services, radioisotope products and analysis services (SILARAS). This innovation is in the form of an integrated service information system for radioisotope product radiation and analysis at the Center for Applied Nuclear Science and Technology (PSTNT). SILARAS aims to increase effectiveness, efficiency and is expected to increase the amount of non-tax state revenue revenue in nuclear science and technology services at PSTNT.

Third, the reactor laboratory internet application as a learning media for reactor physics (API RELA MEMBARA). Through the innovation created by the Accelerator Science and Technology Center, it is hoped that many students from all over the world can do reactor physics practicum using the Kartini reactor online without being constrained by space and time.

Fourth, innovation in learning services provided by the Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat), in order to improve learning services optimally, maximize learning outcomes, improve work systems more effectively, and reduce paper use. This innovation is named Learning Innovation on Nuclear for Pusdiklat Ultimate Services (LIONPLUS), Pusdiklat BATAN. (Pur)
