Slide item 1

Neutron Activation Analysis (AAN) is a non-destructive test method, used to determine the elemental content in various types of test materials. The method is based on the nuclear reaction (n, γ) between the neutron and the test material, which is then detected by the results of the interaction in the form of gamma radiation that is specific to each element, using a gamma spectrometer. The AAN method has the advantage, it does not damage the material being tested, the samples needed in mg order, able to analyze with a high level of accuracy to the order ppb (parts per bilion) and multi elements in one test. The elements analyzed include: Al, Ca, Cl, Na, Mg, Mn, Ti, U, V, As, Au, Br, K, La, Sb, Sm, Ag, Ce, Cs, Co, Eu, Fe, Hf, Hg, Rb, Sc, Sn, Ta, Tb, Th, Yb, Zn and Zr
